BBC LAUNCHES SEA -NEW ZEALAND SERVICE
BBC LAUNCHES THAILAND-NEW ZEALAND SERVICE
German shipping firm BBC Chartering has launched a monthly service between Southeast Asia and Australasia.
The service will sail from Thailand to New Zealand via Australia and connect with other ports in Southeast Asia on an ad-hoc basis. Bookings for breakbulk cargoes will be arranged via BBC Chartering’s Singapore branch.
“Due to the increased demand for this connection, we are now pleased to open this new service between Asia and New Zealand. As a part of our global ‘APAC service’, BBC Chartering’s high performance inducement network, we will be actively looking at all cargo ‘en route’ for each sailing,” said Steven Hawkswood, senior chartering manager at BBC Chartering in Singapore.
The service will operate via the multipurpose vessel BBC Amethyst from mid-December 2016 and is expected to grow flexibly as capacity and lifting requirements demand.
BBC Chartering operates a fleet of more than 175 multipurpose vessels, ranging in capacity from 3,500 to 37,500 deadweight tons.
